In the portraits I paint a different reality. I absorb all the details of the subject and I seem to then eliminate things and exaggerate others in my zeal to see to bring into reality this other world that I’m knowing for the first time and by the end of the portrait when it’s finished i will know the subject very well.
In my stripe or geometrical work the collector and I will discuss the commission’s color, size, whether its striped, cubed, walking line, or curved.
